At La Puerta Rosa Holbox, we aim to give you an experience that teaches you all about the Mexican cuisine and culture. We host classes in both the morning and evenings, with a maximum of 6 people per class, it’s an intimate yet immersive experience that will indulge your hunger and quench your thirst for knowledge.
The Chef
Hi I’m Bruno! Born in Mexico City, I am a lover of Mexican culture but mainly its gastronomy.
I studied gastronomy in Mexico City and at 21 years old I decided to start a journey that has not yet ended, dedicating myself to gastronomy for 20 years. I have lived in Quintana Roo (Playa del Carmen and Holbox currently), Yucatán, Chiapas, Campeche and Querétaro, where I have gone in search of new knowledge of the food of each region, working in a traditional food restaurant and also undertaking my own projects.
Now in La Puerta Rosa in Holbox, I want to be able to share with you every recipe that I have learned in every place I have visited or lived, since my greatest goal in life is to be able to continue with this trip outside of Mexico promoting the beautiful culture of my country Mexico.

About The Experience
Our menu changes daily, depending on what is in season, fresh and available as well as creating a menu to suit our booked guests, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or allergies as well as any preferences.
Our morning classes focus on lighter, breakfast style dishes while our evening classes focus on dinner style dishes and have the added extra of including beer and tequila.
The experience is around 2.5 to 3 hours long and after the class you will have time to sit and try the dishes you made. We are not a restaurant and although we aim to fill your bellies to the brim with delicious food, please take into consideration that the course itself’s main focus is on teaching you how to create authentic Mexican dishes.
